Lewis has studied music at North Texas State University and performed in the DFW area with local bands under a strong gospel, country, jazz and R&B influence. As a vocalist and keyboardist he began a touring career in 1978 when offered a position with R&B band Merging Traffic and remained with the group for five years. Then followed a 50s/60s group T-Bone & Ovid for a second five years during which he began studio session recordin and jingle writing for local businesses. Also during this time he has played with Percy Sledge and The Drifters. Upon relocating to Dallas, Texas in 2000, he played with local regional bands Rob Dixon and The Lost Cowboy Band, Janie Fricke, West Of Nowhere, Vince Vance and The Valiants, Andrew Jr Boy Jones and many others while never staying far away from studio recording projects for local and national acts such as Gary Stewart and Curtis Potter. Most recently having performed with Peaches & Herb, Barbara Lewis, The Moments, The Delfonics, GQ, Heatwave and Malo on tour has opened many doors for continued success in the future.
